My responsibilities included: Meeting and exceeding sales and KPI goals for assigned store on a consistent basis while providing a world-class customer experience Directly supervise, train and develop the store’s Sales Professionals; insure compliance by all employees on company policies and procedures. Network, recruit, hire and oh-board qualified staff of Sales Professionals Facilitate resolution to employee performance or behavior concerns through coaching and/or corrective action. Achievement of all financial and operational objectives with regards to expense control, loss prevention, audits/checklists and reports; responsible for controlling expenses to remain with budget guidelines Event planning, tracking, and execution to drive store leads and build brand awareness; build and manager relationships with community/sales partners Responsible for store scheduling and approval of payroll Ensure all display models, as well as store, are kept clean and in working condition Lead by example by adhering to all company policies and the standards set forth in the Code of Business Conduct.
Transitioning from managing my team to applying concepts to lead them instead.
I learned the most by reading 7 Habits and applying the lessons with my store. During this internship I wanted to increase my skill in resolving conflict with my employee when handling coaching opportunities and being more assertive.
Advice for others...
As this was a Sales Management experience I would suggest it to be a second internship and to have experience in retail before hand.
