Facilities
The AESHM department is primarily housed in MacKay and LeBaron Halls, which are on the north end of central campus. We offer classroom facilities to meet a variety of educational and instructional needs. Our computer labs house Macintosh and IBM computers for student and faculty use.
The Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom is located in 23A MacKay Hall. The Textiles and Clothing Museum is a significant hands-on teaching collection and gallery that are part of the new Center for Visual Learning in Morrill Hall. The Textiles and Clothing Production Sewing Lab and Product Development Studio are located in LeBaron Hall.
Stephens Auditorium at Iowa State Center hosts our annual fashion show, a highlight of the Textiles and Clothing program. Incoming students may opt to join the Common Threads Learning Community which is housed on the eighth floor of Maple Hall.
