Four hundred high school students visited the Iowa State University campus on Thursday for the “Behind the Scenes,” event to get an inside look at the apparel merchandising, design and production (AMDP) degree program. Following welcoming remarks from Bob Bosselmen, professor and chair of apparel, educational studies, and hospitality management, and Maura Flaschner, a program coordinator in Admissions, the visitors posed questions to a panel of AMDP students. They also learned about illustration, computer-aided design, patternmaking, the historic textiles collection, and global opportunities.
