Apparel Merchandising and Design Graduate Student Association (AMDGSA)

The Apparel, Merchandising, and Design Graduate Student Association will provide graduate students in apparel, merchandising, and design at Iowa State University opportunities to: promote closer ties and collaboration between members, foster relationships between members and industry professionals, encourage community involvement, sponsor activities to promote research and scholarship, and provide opportunities for professional development.

Club Managers Association of America (CMAA)

The Cyclone Chapter of Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is a pre-professional hospitality club that focuses on the advancement of the club management profession. Our mission is to enrich our club through educational sessions through guest lectures from area club managers, attending meetings throughout the state, club tours, fine dining events, seminars, enhancing resumes, organizing and participating in fund-raising events, enriching the community, and a goal of raising awareness and funds to attend an annual national conference.

Eta Sigma Delta (ESD)

Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) is the International Hospitality Management Honor Society. ESD is committed to academic excellence, and engaging in service projects. 

Event Management Club

The Event Management Club is a student-run organization committed to professional and personal development for students interested in the events industry. 

The Fashion Show

Students in the apparel, merchandising, and design program may choose to participate in the annual Fashion Show. This event is usually held in the spring.

Graduate Student Association of Hospitality Management (GSAHM)

GSAHM provides grad students in the Foodservice and Lodging Management Program at ISU with the potential for networking among grad students, faculty, and industry leaders.

 

Kappa Omicron Nu

The Kappa Omicron Nu, founded at Iowa State May 1913, is a national honor society dedicated to recognizing and encouraging excellence in scholarship, research, and leadership development.

Marketing, Organizing, Designing, and Analyzing Fashion (MODA)

MODA is a student-run organization. It serves as a forum to examine and discuss important issues in the business of fashion, encourages students to develop knowledge, skills, and talents related to fashion outside of the formal classroom, provides activities and programs to enhance networking skills, and encourages work experience, internships, and careers in fashion. Members participate in activities including meetings, trips, service events, and campus activities.

National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH)

The National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) is a professional organization for minority hospitality students that addresses diversity and multiculturalism, as well as the career development of student members. NSMH provides events and programs that bring together college-level students with company sponsors, industry representatives, other hospitality organizations, advisers and mentors, and hospitality high school students. Phi Upsilon Omicron

Phi Upsilon Omicron is a national honor society in family and consumer sciences where we promote academic excellence, develop professional leadership, and encourage professional and personal integrity.

Trend Magazine

Trend Magazine is a student-run publication that focuses on fashion, beauty, body, and lifestyle in the Iowa State University community.
