I was responsible for...
• Receive merchandise into a retail point of sale software solution, Lightspeed • Attend Market Trip to select merchandize for the following seasons product • Maintain boutiques website and social media marketing with store information, merchandise images, and purchasing details • Oversee relations with vendors including buying the fashions for the boutique • Spearhead visual upkeep of the store, including styling window displays and advertisements • Perform market research for better understanding of consumer interest to develop marketing strategies • Organize weekly photo shoot and photograph models wearing new merchandise • Coordinate and host events to encourage customer traffic and higher sales volumes • Manage new merchandise so the store inventory is appropriate to the client base and current season

I accomplished...
My greatest accomplishment from my internship was getting to go on a buying trip at the end of the summer with my boss and buy for the store for the Fall, Winter, Holiday, and Pre-Spring season.

I learned...
I learned a lot about details from my experience. I learned that you have to be extremely detail oriented and always double/triple check your work for mistakes and tiny details missed.

Advice for others...
Be ready and willing to learn and be adaptable. Choose a company/area that you have interest in so you can gain a realistic idea of what a job in that field would look like.
