I was responsible for...
Assisted in overall production measures, made daily trips to production factories in the garment center, communicated with production managers, made purchases at trims and sourcing stores, assisted technical designer with measurements, sat in on fit sessions, assisted design team, assisted product developer with spreadsheets and data input

I accomplished...
I really enjoyed getting to go to the production factories and communicate with the production managers. It was very neat to see the process of the company's garments actually being made. If there was a problem with production I was in charge of relaying some of that information to the managers.

I learned...
I really learned to be a proactive and quick thinker. A lot of times there were problems with something not being ready to be picked up or an error with the production measures. I would have to think quickly on what would be the best way to go about the situation since I couldn't always get a hold of my supervisor right at that very moment.

Advice for others...
My advice would be to be confident in what you are doing but to also not be afraid to ask lots of questions. For several of these industry professionals they do this job every single day and they have been doing it for the past 10 years. These processes and routines are overly comfortable for them. So do not be afraid to really ask more questions to understand the entire situation and job task that is being asked of you.
