I was responsible for...
As an intern within the Housekeeping Department. I was responsible for assisting with day to day operation such as: room attendant, laundry attendant or porter. I was also responsible for taking care of the lost and found items for property and record.

I accomplished...
Throughout my internship, my greatest accomplishment was being able to work in different operational areas independently and assisting the Housekeeping Manager with specific projects, such as inspecting.

I learned...
The first lesson I learned from my internship experience is that every employee in the hotel is playing an important role in delivering fist class hospitality beyond guest expectations. The guest is the reason why we are here, we are committed to create a home away from home. I also learned the importance of hospitality spirit, which includes a positive attitude, being consistent, and trying to go beyond guest expectations.

Advice for others...
Do not be afraid to ask questions! If you are not sure about something, have a conversation with your supervisor or manager. If you are eager to learn something new, do not be afraid to speak up. You will learn more than what you can expect if you have a great ambition to shape your skills and build your experiences.
