I was responsible for...
Administrative/Office Coordinator performs the tasks of coordinating office events, scheduling, and making sure everyone is on the same page within the office. Mainly this internships is coordinating events, meetings, and professional talks for the Clinicians to present their knowledge and background to gain clients/ or just share knowledge of topic for them to better understand.

I accomplished...
My greatest accomplishment is overcoming different obstacles in a different environment. i would say business planning and communication is where I want to be in when I graduate in Spring 2019. I have planned out events for Ames Therapy and especially a ribbon cutting for our new clinicians in the office that joined a about six months ago to almost a year. It's been great to help others in all different aspects at Ames Therapy.

I learned...
The greatest lessons I have learned is to always be confident in your work that you perform. I have been iffy on some events that I have taken or scheduling purposes, but at the end of the day I realized that we are not all perfect and when I am confident in myself that is when I show the best work. I have learned to have better communication while answering phones, this has made an impact on my speech as well as communicating with other professional individuals.

Advice for others...
My advice for future students is to always be confident in yourself. Look beyond the title of your major and you will accomplish more. Event management students can exceed great amounts of work with the experience and skills they have been given in a classroom setting. Apply to the internships you never thought about applying to and see how far you go. The phone interview experience is helpful when interviewing for the next internship if you do not make it to the next round. We have all not got out first internship we have applied for. Apply to the ones you are qualified for and make sure your resume is accurate, up to date, and research the company before hand.
