I was responsible for...
- Provide customer service to clients who drop of garments for repairs or alterations - Carry out or help with fitting sessions for garments in need of alterations - Fulfill Ready-To-Wear, bride, bride maids, prom, and formal alteration orders in a timely, accurate, and neat manner

I accomplished...
- Fulfilled all of my designated duties. - provided custom fitting sessions without supervision - streamlined pricing and contracts for business. - managed entire prom season and customers

My most valuable effort...
The most valuable project was the contract I made for the company to protect them from customers who would try and attack them after they took their dress away, acting satisfied with their alterations. The contract put a barrier of transparency and responsibility on both parties.

I learned...
There were various times where I was doing more than just basic alterations for prom girls. I was redesigning their dresses for them which required adequate communication on both parties, creative problem solving, and time management.

I will never forget...
Dinners I would have with my bosses after the work week was over. It built trust and a stronger relationship and helped me understand the business better.

A surprising discovery...
Difficulties working with certain types of customers that made me uncomfortable. Working with everyone isn't going to be easy, even if your encounters are brief. Make the best of your situation and try to be a strong and confident individual even if you're uncomfortable.

Advice for others...
You must be self-starting, efficient, and love to sew.

I first learned about this career-building experience from...
I searched it out myself and contacted them personally.

I landed this assignment by...
I simply asked.

I wanted this experience because...
I didn't want to work in a retail environment because I felt that it couldn't help me as much as alterations could, with design. I am many steps ahead of my classmates in construction because of this job.
