Guest Designer: Brent Hannapel

Brent Hannapel, menswear senior product developer at J Brand, is the guest designer for The Fashion Show 2013. He is native to Ames and is a graduate of Iowa State University.

Brent Hannapel is a highly accomplished menswear professional and the foundation of his fashion expertise comes from his studies at Iowa State University. J Brand is a luxurious denim brand that strives to fit men’s and women’s bodies perfectly. Founded in 2004, the company has expanded to over 2000 high-end retail and department stores among 20 different countries.

Guest judges

Haylynn Cohen

Cohen, a Brooklyn, New York, native, has been modeling since the age of 16. Her image has been featured in the fashion pages of magazines such as Italian Vogue, W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, and French Vogue and in ads for companies including Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Clairol, and Clinique.

Francesca Skwark

After graduating from ISU, Skwark moved to Los Angeles where she became a fashion designer. She eventually founded her own company and launched her own label – FBF by Checka – a unique and exclusive line of women’s wear with an effortless and chic aesthetic.

Lea Leopold

A 2005 ISU Apparel, Merchandising, Design, and Production alum, Leopold works as a buyer for Christopher & Banks in Minneapolis. Her previous experience includes working as a designer at Leigh Bantivoglio, in production and sourcing at Wonderbrand, and as a product development manager at Lucky Brand Jeans.

Brittany Craiger

Craiger, technical design manager at Haute Hippie, manages all fit categories for design development and production. Her previous positions include technical designer at Reed Krakoff and knitwear technical designer at Marc by Marc Jacobs. Brittany graduated from ISU with a B.S. in Apparel, Merchandising, Management, and Production.
