Erica Nossaman receives PCMA Education Foundation Scholars Program Scholarship: Erica Nossaman, a senior in event management from Pella, has received a Foundation Scholars Program Scholarship from the Professional Convention Management Association Education Foundation and NYC & Company, an official marketing and tourism partner of New York City. The award includes a $3,500 gift applied to Nossaman's Iowa State University tuition as well as round-trip airfare and three nights of lodging in San Francisco, and more.

Event management student Kimberly Schmerbach earns $7,500 PCMA scholarship: Kimberly Schmerbach, an event management student at Iowa State University, has received the Roy B. Evans Student Scholarship from the Professional Convention Management Association Education Foundation. Offered to only two students each year, the $7,500 award is the national organization's largest tuition-based scholarship.

The Fashion Show 2020 producers named: Erin Chapados and Presley Eldien have been selected lead The Fashion Show 2020 as managerial producers, along with and outreach producers Claire Hennessey and Tammie Melton.

The Fashion Show is one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the nation with annual attendance of nearly 2,500 and a livestream that reaches viewers around the globe. The show features more than 150 student-designed garments on the runway and in the mounted exhibitions. Approximately 275 Iowa State University students with a wide span of majors work together to plan and orchestrate The Fashion Show, Fashion Week events, and related activities -- managing matters ranging from set design, modeling, and photography to finance, marketing, and social media. The 2020 event will mark the show's 38th year.

In the Best of Show Consulting Project for an Existing Business category, judges consider proposed enhancements that will aid in creating brand identity for the business, foster unique competitive advantages, create added value for the firm and its customers, and ultimately have the potential to positively impact firm performance.
