The Fashion Show 2013 exhibit features winning student designs from this year’s student-run fashion show at Iowa State University.
About The Fashion Show
In 1982, The Textiles and Clothing Fashion Show began as a simple runway show held in a MacKay Hall classroom with the attendance of only a few Iowa State students. Over the course of 31 years, The Fashion Show has grown into one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the country.
It is produced by over 100 selected students who work in committees to plan all aspects of the show. Four guest judges, who are professionals representing the apparel industry, review over 200 entries and choose 65 students to showcase garments.
Throughout the year, multiple events take place on Iowa State’s campus to create awareness and excitement for the show. The Fashion Show is now held in Stephens Auditorium with annual attendance of more than 2,500 guests.
